About Wellstone Books

Wellstone Books is the publishing arm of the Wellstone Center in the Redwoods a small writers’ retreat center in Northern California founded in 2012 by Sarah Ringler and Steve Kettmann. WCR offers writing residencies, fellowships and three-month resident internships for aspiring writers, and hosts periodic Author Talk events with writers like Mary Roach, Cara Black, Jonathan Franzen and Viet Thanh Nguyen. Wellstone Books does not accept unsolicited manuscripts, but we are always looking for writers who are familiar with our publishing philosophy and want to work with us to develop future projects.
